Current status — some Amazon links earn us a commission

TailVetted is enrolled in the Amazon Associates programme for Amazon.ca, from 16 September 2026. Some links to Amazon.ca carry a tracking tag. If you buy through one of them, TailVetted may receive a commission from Amazon. The price you pay is exactly the same either way, and no part of it comes out of your pocket.
Links to every other retailer go out plain, with no tracking attached, and earn us nothing.
Every button that earns a commission says so directly beside it, before you click. Links that do not earn a commission stay unmarked. If you find an earning link that is not marked, that is a mistake — tell us.
What a commission is not allowed to change
A commission does not change a product's evidence level, which describes only how much we know about it. It does not change which product wins a test, the order products appear in, or whether a bad result gets published.
Products that perform badly stay in the catalogue with their links intact, because telling you not to buy something is part of the job. No product was added to this site because it earns a commission, and none will be.
Amazon has no say in what appears here and does not see anything before it is published.
How products are obtained
The purchase or sample source will be documented for each hands-on test. If a product is supplied by a manufacturer, borrowed, or discounted, that is stated on that specific product’s page — not only here.
We are separately asking manufacturers for permission to publish product photography. Permission to use a photograph is not a commercial relationship and buys no editorial consideration; where one exists it is recorded on the product page all the same.
We are not the seller
TailVetted does not sell or ship anything. Payment, delivery, warranty and returns are handled entirely by the retailer, under their terms. See the terms of use.
